Learn how to fold square flower throw pillows with our DIY tutorial. Prepare two sets of square fabric. Fold the edges of the larger square fabric inward by about 1CM for a seam allowance, and use an iron to press the edges if possible, or create a crease by running it over a table corner. Fold the fabric into a cross to find the center point, and fold the four sides towards the center point to form a smaller square, then secure it with a pin.

Fold all the square fabrics that need to be joined into squares, then stack and sew them together. Sew as many as you want, and you can use thread to secure a few stitches in the middle to prevent them from falling apart. If making a throw pillow or cushion, sew all the square fabrics into the following shape to form a base cloth. Prepare a square piece of fabric that can be hidden inside each square, and cut out multiple squares from small scraps of fabric. If you want to create a color-matching effect, you can arrange them for comparison and sew them inside according to the previous arrangement.

Fold the edges of the square fabric scraps inward, or trim them directly with scissors. Place the square fabric scraps inside the previously sewn base cloth, fold the edges inward, and wrap the small scraps to form a diamond shape, then secure the edges with pins. Use the same method to fix the remaining small scraps of fabric into the base cloth to form the edges of the flowers. Sew them in place and, for each four-petaled flower, you can sew beads or buttons in the center as desired for decoration.

If making a throw pillow, the front fabric is ready. Cut out two pieces of fabric for the back of the pillow, place a zipper in the middle, and sew. Finally, stack the base cloth and the front fabric, sew them together, and turn them back to the right side. Stuff the pillow with a pillow core, and you have a square four-petal flower throw pillow.
